Our mission is to bring about greater gender equality through education and engagement.
We focus our efforts on the root causes of inequality, especially the social norms which underpin bias and discrimination and the ways in which all media contributes to gender inequality. We welcome all, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to join our efforts; we are non-partisan, non-profit, feminist, and pro-choice. Based in Sarasota, Florida, we collaborate with other like-minded organizations to serve our mutual goals and increase our impact, and while our action is locally focused, our commitment to gender equality is international.
We welcome everyone -- women, LGBTQIA people, men, non-binary people – to join our efforts. We believe everyone deserves to be free from harmful gender stereotypes, biases, and discrimination, and that long-term systemic change is the only way to bring about that societal shift.
We host a long-running international Film Festival and a monthly feminist book club, organize issue-oriented gatherings, participate in public demonstrations that advance our cause, walk to draw attention to gender-based violence, socialize at a monthly drop-in, and much more.
